By using the formula,

P (n, r) = $$\dfrac{ n!}{r!(n – r)!}$$

P (10, 4) = $$\dfrac{ 10!}{(10 – 4)!}$$

= $$\dfrac{10!}{6!}$$

=$$\dfrac{ (10 × 9 × 8 × 7 × 6!)}{6!}$$

= 10 × 9 × 8 × 7

= 5040

10P4 = 5040
