Solution :-

To find the mean deviation from the mean, firstly let us calculate the mean.

By using the formula,

\( x= \dfrac{\displaystyle\sum fixi}{fi}\)

\( x= \dfrac{\displaystyle\sum f_ix_i}{f_i}\)

= \(\dfrac{ 4000}{80}\)

= 50

\( x= \dfrac{\displaystyle\sum f_i|d_i|}{f_i}\)

\( \dfrac{1280}{80}\)

= 16

The mean deviation is 16
